Gods Plan

As an Aquarian who flip flops between careers and experiences, the idea of destiny, free will and God's plan has always intrigued me. Just as I am ready to cement my personal ideology one way or another a new experience comes along and leads me to more questions. This blog is perhaps my way of making sense of all of my experiences. A road map of God's plan for me, if you will. I would appreciate any discussion that evolves from this.

More Signs from God

My mom and I went to the beach to get away from all the people asking if we were okay after my sister's death. We debated about the vacation, as dad was staying at home to work and take care of my sister's dog. Finally we headed out. Here is what happened:

1) Mapquest told us to take exits that hadn't existed for years.
2) We took a one hour detour.
3)My mom's navigational system didn't say a single word until we had actually arrived at the hotel.

Then we let go and let God take over and here is what happened.

1) We arrived at our hotel at the exact check in time.
2) We arrived and ate lunch within minutes of the hotel cafe's closing.
3) We saw six dolphins swimming in the water within feet of our spot on the hotel's beach.
4) We had the best service out of any hotel we have ever stayed at and we have stayed at the best.
5) The hotel food was by some miracle delicious.
6) One of the chef's gave us exact directions to find our way home.
7) I had the best massage of my entire life.

It's amazing the small miracles that occur when you have a little faith.

Sincerely,
Caterina Christakos

P.S. The hotel that we stayed at was the Sheraton Sand Key Resort in Clearwater, FL and the lady who gave me that awesome massage is named Betsey.

Five People You Meet in Heaven - Christian Movie Review

Five People You Meet in Heaven - Christian Movie Review

A wonderful story told in a way that can seem a bit dark at first but ends in a very enlightening way. This movie gives a completely different view of heaven than most of us are used to. Do not expect a light happy version of heavenly bliss. On the other hand, it really helps explain why things happen in our lives, why we meet the people we do, the impact we have on each other and much more. Definitely worth watching. You may want to prescreen it before watching it with your children.

Oh God Christian Movie Review

Oh God with George Burns and John Denver is a classic. The premise is that God comes down to give his message to a good man to spread to the world. This good man ( John Denver ) has trouble believing that God has spoken to him. He loses his job and nearly loses his girlfriend, as he starts to believe and begins to spread God's word.

The message is that God speaks to us and even makes his premise known. It is up to each of us to receive and believe in his message.

This is a wonderful christian family movie.

Oh God II and Oh God, You Devil , all with George Burns, are also great movies to watch with your kids.

Signs from God

My sister passed away unexpectedly this year, in a motorcycle accident. This was a week to the day that my cousin passed away. In a very strange way it was as if on some level she knew it would happen. The entire family got together for my cousin's funeral. This almost never happened. My sister got to hug every single one of us the week before she died and she told us that she loved us.

The family was still in shock, bewildered and in pain. The funeral director advised us not to have an open casket but the family really needed closure. My other sister went to see if the funeral director was correct in his assessment. In the end we were able to have an open casket and although she didn't look completely herself there was nothing that would have been unseemly to display. We got to say our goodbyes.

Finally at the wake I prayed for a sign to give us all comfort. Within seconds, a woman we had never met before came to my mother with 4 gold framed pictures of my sister smiling and happy. Before the funeral we had been searching everywhere for pictures that my sister would have liked. These were of her at her finest.

I don't know why our sister was taken from us at such a young age but because we chose to believe God has a plan, he gave us an abundance of signs and we felt Angela's love.

Our family grieves now because we miss her but we all know that she is fine and in God's hands.

P.S. We created a site in Angie's honor. It is a free recipes site because her dream was to become a chef. She fulfilled that dream before she died. http://www.angiesgourmetchocolatetreasures.com/

Prosperity Consciousness

You have heard it time and again. Lottery Winners lose it all and trust fund babies waste their parent's hard earned cash. In fact, up to 80% of the lottery winners in this country file bankruptcy within five years. Most of us say," That would never happen to me. You would have to be really dumb to lose all that money." Yet the very reason that these individuals let their money run through their fingers is the very reason that most of us are still working pay check to paycheck.

It is a lacking mindset that is responsible for our financial difficulties. They believe: 1) I don't deserve this 2) I feel guilty because it happened to me and not ___________ 3) This can't be real 4) etc...

God gave us everything. We have simply allowed our mind - the enemy of spirit to delude us into this feeling of lack.

Those with money that work their way up from the bottom or build the wealth they have easily, have the one thing that most of us lack - a million dollar mind set. They know that they are prosperous and never allow their mind's taunts to get in their way. All wealth begins with this consciousness and all wealth is maintained by cultivating this feeling of prosperity.

Their beliefs are: 1) I am wealthy. 2) If I lost it all tommorow, I could make it back easily. 3) It is my God given right to be wealthy.

I would bet that most of us could compile a list of hundreds of things that we "want." That sense of wanting means that we feel that we do not have these things. When we replace this wanting feeling with the sense of already having wealth, amazing things start to occur within our brains and manifest into our lives. We begin to come up with ways of having wealth instead of merely wishing and wanting it.

How do we create this million dollar mindset?

1) Think about being wealthy and write down any thoughts that come up.

Write down the objections that already play in your mind. Write down the excuses like" It takes money to make money." And write down all the things that you wish you could have if only...

2) Release on those thoughts. Let them go and keep letting them go until the negative emotions go away with them.

3) Replace negative thoughts with positive ones.

4) Fill your mind with the images of what you want and picture yourself already having them.

5) See yourself as you will be. Feel what you will feel. Add audio and even the things that you will smell when you reach that state. ex. the type of perfume you might wear, the sound of bankers begging to give you loans, the feel of silk upon your skin, etc...

6) Keep releasing your negative emotions and thoughts until you have what you have been wanting all these years. Let it simply drop into your lap.

7) Act upon the incredible ideas that Spirit pours into your mind.

Gods Plan

As an Aquarian who flip flops between careers and experiences, the idea of destiny and free will has always intrigued me. Just as I am ready to cement my personal ideology one way or another a new experience comes along and leads me to more questions.

A bit of brief history about me:

I was born with Spinal Bifida and Scoleosis but walked, ran and played until I was fifteen. An operation ended up causing me to be on crutches but also turned out to be one of the greatest motivators in my life. I have acted in a movie, modeled all over the country, written and published several books, studied Marriage and Family Counseling, English Literature and Psychology and the Law, while running several online and offline businesses. I have been well off and down to my last nickel in turns. And despite all of this or perhaps because of it, I have known from the age of 4 that there was a reason that I am sharing this planet and perhaps not just one.

This blog is perhaps my way of making sense of all of my experiences. A road map of God's plan for me, if you will.

I would appreciate any discussion that evolves from this. There are so many questions perhaps we can find the answers together.

Sincerely,
Caterina Christakos
